Persepolis #1

8) A lot of things prevent people from being completely free, the government , work, laws, religion and more. It all comes down to what strikes you the most, for me, it's a lot of things like family stress and a little more things, but in general, no one can really be free, but there are some certain times where you can experience freedom, like your first time to a movie without your parents or family, or maybe your first time at a restaurant and ordering something with your own money, for me, it was Subway. Marji and her family rebel agaisnt the rules by clrearly denying to wear veils in their homes, wearing jean jackets, having posters, hosting parties and going to protests, abd they try to live normal livcs by enjoying themselves, refusing to do things that just does not make sense.

5) I think the narratores voice is nice and appealing vecause it is easy to understand unlike some other books that i have read in the past. The part that i like the most about Marji's character is how she is entertaining, willing to tell about her life, and just kind of open to ideas, but the part that i don't like is how she can be really stubborn sometimes and how she just sometimes blurts stuff out sometimes when it isn't appropriate. Marji has affected my way of reading by giving reading autobiagraphy's a different a twist and kinda of adding visuals so you can connect what is really going on instead of just visualizing it.

14) By saying that 0ther have had it worse in their lives and have led harsher lives, while more than 80% of people in America have some much more freedom than Marji's grandpa, uncle, and her neighbors who were sent to jail because they protested against the beliefs and laws of their country, while we are able to do this without almost no fear. So we should cherish our lives along with our freedom in this country. This suggests that that we should be proud abd happy to live in this country because we have more freedom, and that our lives can be lived up to so much more do to our level of freedom, yet so many of us don't see this.
